Incentives — SPIFFs
Make seller incentives easier to administer
A seller incentive needs clear terms: which sales qualify, how the reward is calculated and who earns it. SPIFFs brings program configuration, claim review and award records into one product.

For teams rewarding partner sales
SPIFFs is designed for channel and sales program owners running incentives around qualifying sales activity.
- Program owners defining qualifying sales and reward schedules.
- Reviewers checking sale evidence and resolving incomplete claims.
- Finance and operations teams tracking approved awards and payment evidence.
Make each earning explainable
A sale, the seller who earned the incentive and the recipient of payment need to be identified clearly. An enrolled partner business alone does not answer all three.
- Define the earning rules before claims arrive.
- Resolve missing information through a recorded review decision.
- Keep seller eligibility, award approval and settlement distinct.
How it helps your team
Configure seller incentive program versions with eligibility rules and fixed, per-unit, percentage or tiered benefit schedules.
An earning needs explicit program terms. Confirm how individual sellers and qualifying sales will be identified before rollout.
Work through seller incentive claims, record approval or rejection, and request missing information with a reason.
Partner enrollment does not by itself establish an individual seller’s eligibility or who should receive payment.
Track award records, recorded fulfillment attempts and outstanding amounts by program.
BrandFlex does not move money. Your finance team handles payments; a recorded status is not proof that a recipient has been paid.
Know what qualifies, who earns and who is paid
SPIFFs rewards qualifying sales activity. Rebates rewards qualifying purchases; Co-op supports eligible partner marketing activity.
- Partner business
- The dealer or organization participating in the program. Its enrollment is separate from an individual seller’s eligibility.
- Seller
- The individual credited with the qualifying sale. Confirm identity, eligibility and sale attribution for your program.
- Award
- The approved benefit recorded under the program terms. A claim decision does not establish that payment has occurred.
- Payment recipient
- The person or business that should receive the benefit. Confirm this separately from the seller and partner business, with appropriate access to personal information.
A seller incentive program in practice
A channel team is preparing a promotion for eligible sellers at participating dealers.
Illustrative workflow, not a customer record or screenshot. Individual seller eligibility, sale attribution and confirmed settlement remain open release work.
1 · Program owner
Define the qualifying sale and reward
Set eligibility and a benefit schedule. Agree on how the seller and sale will be identified.
2 · Reviewer
Review the incentive claim
Check the sale information, request missing evidence and record the decision against the program.
3 · Finance team
Confirm the recipient and payment
Reconcile award records with the external payment process. Verify the intended recipient and payment evidence.
Start with one seller promotion
Use a bounded program to prove earning rules, review and settlement handling before expanding participation.
- Choose qualifying sales, participating partners and a reward schedule.
- Confirm individual seller eligibility, sale attribution and the payment recipient.
- Review representative claims, missing evidence and correction scenarios.
- Agree on finance responsibilities and evidence of completed payment.
Common questions
What does SPIFF mean here?
A SPIFF is a sales incentive offered for qualifying sales activity under a defined program. Specify the eligible sellers, products, dates and benefit in your program terms.
Is SPIFFs part of Co-op?
SPIFFs is a separate product with its own program and review workflow. It can be discussed on its own or in the Incentives Suite alongside Co-op and Rebates.
Does enrolling a dealer enroll every salesperson?
No. Partner enrollment does not establish individual seller eligibility. The seller identity, sale attribution and payment recipient need explicit handling, and the complete individual earning journey is still being completed.
Does BrandFlex pay the salespeople?
BrandFlex does not move money. Your finance team handles payments. Confirm the recipient and external payment process; an award or recorded fulfillment status is not proof of payment.
What should we confirm before rollout?
- Seller eligibility
- Define the participating businesses, eligible individual sellers, enrollment and access requirements.
- Sale attribution
- Agree on the source of sale evidence, qualifying dates, shared credit and corrections. Confirm supported behavior before rollout.
- Recipient and settlement
- Define who receives the benefit, who can see personal information and how external payment will be confirmed.
